The minimum recommended age by Nova Medical Spa to book a hair removal treatment is 18 years old. Only legal adults are allowed to visit medical spas alone and be treated for skin rejuvenation and laser hair removal. There are of course instances when we allow younger clients, which have to be accompanied by parents with additional documentation to be signed. Laser hair removal for teens can be done due to medical condition, pre or post medical procedures, presentational hair removal for audition or contests. Please avoid booking sessions online for clients under 18 years old and schedule by phone or in person.

How often are sessions?

Nova Medical Spa recommends laser hair removal sessions every 4 to 6 weeks until full course is completed (that requires 6 to 10 sessions). There are obviously instances that can force you to reschedule appointments during the course. If you go on vacation and get tanned just before scheduled session, get sick, busy with work or other things, we will try to reschedule your next laser hair removal sessions within next several weeks, so it does not affect overall results. Please let us know ahead of time if your timelines are changing so we can stay on top of it.

How many sessions does it require to fully epilate hair?

Typically it takes 6 to 10 sessions to fully epilate hair with our Alexandrite Laser. After the treatment is completed there may be little hair growth form newly formed follicle. Nova Medical Spa recommends visiting us twice a year for making sure your skin is perfectly smooth by neutralizing what may come up. Number of sessions depends on your skin, amount of hair you have, proper pre and post treatment, skin sensitivity and several other factors. During initial consultation, our aesthetician can give you more accurate estimate on amount of sessions you should expect to fully complete the course of laser hair removal.
